Ms. Di Li was born in Shandong, China, and immigrated to the United States at the age of 13. Ms. Li attended UCLA and received a Bachelors Degree in Economics/International Studies at UCLA with Magna Cum Laude. Ms. Li then went on to Pepperdine University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor degree along with a Certificate of Dispute Resolution. Ms. Li is admitted to the California State Bar and the Washington State Bar.
During law school, Ms. Li developed an interest in Intellectual Property Law, especially Trademark Law, in which she received a CALI award (given to the highest scoring student in the class). Ms. Li was selected to be the research assistant for Professor Naomi Goodno and Professor Thomas J. Stipanowich. She also served as an editor for the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the Law. In addition, Ms. Li had the great honor to extern for the Honorable Victoria Kaufman at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Central District of California. Ms. Li also interned and worked at various legal aids and law firms.
Since starting her own practice, Ms. Li has successfully registered more than 1000 trademarks for individual and corporate clients throughout the world. She counsels clients on all aspects of the branding process, such as trademark search, registration, maintenance, licensing, assignment, and TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings. She also serves as the General Counsel for a number of businesses in California, where she provides the day-to-day legal assistance on corporate matters, ranging from setting up a business to reviewing and drafting various kinds of contracts and agreements. She also represents landlords in unlawful detainer (eviction) cases and helps clients petition for green cards and different types of visas, such as L-1, H-1B, O1 and visa extensions.
